Fried Chicken Easter. by orange

This past weekend the husband and I celebrated Easter with some Fried Chicken with our friends, the Hokes, at St. Clouds in the Seattle neighborhood Madrona.

It definitely was not your traditional ham feast and very delectable.  Every 1st Sunday of the month they offer this amazing Fried Chicken.  It's so popular, you need to call in advance and "reserve" your chicken.  If you are itching for some fancy chicken a la fried - I'd definitely recommend it.

On their menu they point out that the restaurant is named on behalf of a quote from Cider House Rules.  St. Clouds: a place where the orphans come to find a sense of home and family.  Cheesy...but I like it.

signe has arrived!

delicious!

even signe likes it

more please!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend!

a felicity easter. by orange

ever watch felicity? i loved that show, so much so, that I own all seasons on dvd. yes, i'm kind of a loser like that. but it was soo good!! all the drama between felicity, noel and ben... well one of my favorite episodes is freshmen year when the whole group decided to have a thanksgiving feast together instead of traveling home to spend it with their families. this was also the famous episode where noel and felicity make out...while his girlfriend is there - so scandolous. i digress.

this easter i felt was a felicity easter - a friend invited a group of us over to eat, drink and be merry. it was a great way to get together, catch up, relax and enjoy each other's company. we dined on some of the below yumminess:

green eggs & ham - rachel ray style

fruit salad - tossed by yours truly. gotta love fresh mango!!

delicous orzo pasta salad

spring? by orange

here is what seattle looks like today:

lovely isn't it?  totally spring.  kidding.  here is what I need today to remind me it really is spring!

birthday flowers - the perfect easter color mix.  gotta love the penny trick - plop in a penny or two into the water and the tulips' stems stay straight...

my new potted friend - I believe some sort of cactus plant that I hope to not kill within a few weeks of owning.  I've named it Chester.
